A Mittens Day

So today, something wonderful happened.  I received another package in the mail.  This time, not from HSU, but from Yahoo Auctions Japan.  What I ordered was Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game poster autographed by none other then our Mitsui Aika.  When I saw the poster online, I knew I just had to have it.  It was one of those one time chances, seeing as this poster would probably be gone really soon, and never surface again.  So, I didn't waste any time, and bought it.

Well it finally came and I couldn't be happier!  It's a great size.  I thought it would actually be smaller, so i'm pleased by how bit it is (28"x21").  I'm also glad I was able to get the last MM single's poster featuring Lin, Jun, and Eri.  They will be missed dearly, but now I can look at their beautiful faces every morning <3

Tomorrow should be fun, seeing how I will drive down to the crafts store and pick up a nice frame for it, to hang above my TV.  Awesome ne?  NEE?!  Tell me it's awesome or you're fired.

Laid the poster out flat with Momusu's four previous singles:

My mom even said that out of all of them, Aika was the cutest.  My mom has great taste.

C-uteage

Eh?  Majide?  C-ute and S/mileage are having a joint concert next year?  Er...sure....

Not necessarily a bad thing, but...why c-ute with s/mileage?  Not that I dislike s/mileage, just...this concert could have been like 10 times more epic if 5 nin c-ute did a joint concert with a 5 nin Momusu if you catch my drift.  Don't you agree?  Ne?  NEE?

Anyways, this should be interesting to say the least, because as i've mentioned before, I think its awesome when groups sing other groups songs.  Well...they better sing each others songs, or else this will be crap.  Anyways, as any concert, i'm excited to see what's going to be in store for me.  Concert goods should be pretty awesome as well!

Btw, if there were some ad contest for the concert, i'd SO win. Ne? NEE?

Hello Covers

So it seems like, the newest gossip on the block is that Kamei Eri is going to release covers of older H!P songs on iTunes.  Well I think that's just darn cool.  Since she got to pick her own songs, she must be really excited to do this.  From what I read, each month, a new H!P member will release their own sort of mini-album on iTunes with their personally selected songs.  I think this is a great chance for underdogs like everyones favorite Aika, Maasa, and Nakky to get some well deserved attention.

Even though I think this is a great idea, it's just another thing to add onto the list of projects thrown Eri's way before she graduates from H!P.  I really do like her, but throw the underdogs a bone or two won't ya Tsunku?  Don't get me wrong, everything that Eri is getting is well deserved, and I have no issues with that, I just feel that Junjun and Linlin deserve do diligence, and they should be respected as well during all of this.  It kinda makes me feel that this is all a KAMEI ERI GRADUATION with a small side order of Jun / Lin.  I bet, too, at the grad concert, they are hardly going to be given the spotlight.

What was I talking about?  Oh yeah, Hello Covers or something.  It sounds like a great new project!  What I would absolutely love to hear, is maybe singing outside of their own groups.  For example, I'd love to hear Sudou Maasa sing something like Sakura Mankai.  That would be great.  Aika would sound so good singing Very Beauty if you asked me.  I should write a list and send it to Aika.

What do you guys think about this new Hello Cover idea?

C-ute Cutie Circuit Concert

c-So, a few weeks ago, C-ute's newest concert tour, the Cutie Circuit 2010, came to an end.  After it was released onto DVD, I watched it from the comfort of my own bed.  I didn't know how much I would enjoy the performances, but there were a select bunch out of the whole that were great!  The girls looked really good throughout the show, and the skits in the middle made  me laugh.

Now i'm not gonna write about each song, because then I would start to sound redundant and boring, so i'm just gonna tell you about the performances that I thought were above average:

1. Ookina Aide Motenashite:
Was very nostalgic hearing this song live, since I really hadn't listened to it for years.  I found it kinda odd when they tried making their voices higher then they really were to match how they sounded "back then."  All in all, I thought the performance was great, and I loved the wota chants during the song!

2. Akogare My Star:
I never really gave this song a full listen through, and now that I saw it and heard it live, I love it!  It's been stuck in my head for days.  It has a great beat to it, and a good dance number which surprised me.  Nakky and Mai were my favorites in this performance.

3. Nakky / Maimi skit:
Don't really know what all this was about, but Nakky's acting was pure awesome.  She make me laugh!  I didn't really know exactly what they were talking about, but Maimi looked good in the teachers outfit, and Nakky was just pure awesomeness.  The way she acted out her lines were really well done.  The skit was rather long though.

4. DJ Maimai skit:
CHEG IT OUT CHEG IT OUT.  Oh man this was absolutely great.  Mai was so cute behind the DJ equipment, and it was just a flashback to an old concert that I saw parts of.  I knew the gist of what was going on though, and it was hilarious.  I also LOVE it when groups sing other groups songs.  It makes me all giddy inside.  Seeing them perform parts of Genkimono de Ikou, Rottara Rottara, and Special Generation were just amazing.

5. Dance de Bacoon:
The song wasn't anything new to me, since I pretty much outplayed it, but it was great to see the dance number again.  They all performed it with such great energy.  It kinda made me wonder how tired they all actually were at that point.

6. Forever Love:
One of my favorite C-ute songs.  It was great to see a long Nakky dance solo to start this song off.  Would have been a little better if she didn't have a really awkward face during her dance though lol.  Anyways, that was the main reason why I liked this performance.

7. Jump:
It was what I needed after a few slower songs to wake me up (since it was rather late).  Nice energy, and a great upbeat song towards the end of the concert.

8. Kore Ijou Kirawaretakunai No:
This has become one of my favorite C-ute b-side songs.  I really do love it, and the performance was fantastic.  All the girls came out in black heels, short shorts (except for Nakky -_-) and their appropriately colored Dance de Bacoon shirts.  Oh, and, NOT FAIR.  I did not know those shirts came in all those colors, or I would have gotten light blue or maybe even yellow.  Anyways, the performance was really memorable for me.

So all in all, the concert was great.  The performances were very upbeat, and the girls were full of energy.  Loved watching the concert, even through some of the songs that I didn't like as much.  Maybe next time though, a little more creative with the title of the concert?  Haha.

A Better Day for Pictures

Hey!  Look what I found in the mail!  More Morning Musume awesomeness!  So I ordered some Rival Survival pin-up's online, and they finally came to my house.  Lemme just tell you, they're awesome.  The girls all look fantastic and fierce.  Berryz Kobo and C-ute definitely need to have some photo shoots like these.  If they do, I'd be their number 1 buyer.

Anyways, pin-up's as you may know are quite larger then regular photo's, since, I guess you are supposed to pin them up to your walls lol.  Ever since Rival Surivival, this is the first that I am hearing of these pin-ups.  I know now that they have been selling them at concerts for a while now.  Not too sure if pin-up's are sold at Berryz or C-ute concerts?

Whatever.  Well, here are more pictures for y'all:

- Gaki / Reina pin-ups:

- Eri / Sayumi pin-ups:

- Ai / Junjun pin-ups:

- Aika's pin-up with comparison:

- Linlin's pin-up with more photo comparison:

I think Junjun's is my favorite, with Gaki's coming in a close second.  They just look fantastic in them.  Love it.

A Good Day for Pictures

You crazy kids who read my blog posts may know already that I made a decent purchase at HelloStoreUSA on Black Friday.  Well, my order arrived in the mail today!  Shipping time was pretty quick, seeing as I ordered Friday morning (11/26), and they arrived this afternoon (12/1).  I was very excited to see all the pictures I bought.  I was kinda startled when I opened the package, because the first face I saw was Momoko, and I thought that they sent me the wrong pictures lol!

Each photoset was individually wrapped for protection, and taped shut.  Holy crap did that get annoying to undo.  I actually stopped half way because it bothered me that much.  Even though, I couldn't stay away for long.

I know some of you have been dying to see what I got, so without further ado, I present you the pictures:

1. Aika 2L Nanchatte Renai set: (best picset ever)

2. Linlin 2L Nanchatte Renai set: (second best picset ever)

Fantasy! 11

So I listened to Morning Musume's newest album, Fantasy! Jyu-Ichi today, and I wasn't too thrilled.  There are a few good songs, but nothing that i'm going crazy over.  I need a few more listens before I can say for sure if I like it or not, but for a first time, its still 'eh' for me.  Definitely not as amazing as Platinum 9 was.  Now, I will tell you what I think of the new songs:

1. Bravo! [strong vocalist: Everybody]
- It's a fun and upbeat song.  It kinda reminds me of a mix of Mikan and Namidacchi.  Not my favorite on this album, but still a good song.  Don't find it anything special.

2. Fantasy ga Hajimaru [strong vocalist: Sayumi]
- There is something about the way Sayumi's voice was presented in this song that makes me really like it.  Even though i'm not her biggest fan, her voice works very well with the beat.  I'm glad she practically got this track to herself.  It has a trance/house feel to it, which I love.  So far, this song is one of my favorites on the CD.

3. Onna Gokoro to Nanto Yara [strong vocalist: Gaki & Linlin]
- The song is a slower, ballad type song.  Its not that bad actually.  I love how I can hear Linlin very much in this song.  She and Gaki sound wonderful.  It's a very happy sounding song.  It's one of those "i'll always be with you" songs, which in a sense fits with the graduation, so I like it.  I hope Linlin gets a chance to sing it before she leaves.

4. Ai no Honoo [strong vocalist: Reina]
- Nice that Reina got her own song on this album, but if it were up to me, it would be for Aika of course.  The song isn't one of my favorites, since it is rather slow, and doesn't have much of a beat at all except for twinkly sounds and like one constant key on the piano.  It's a very 'samishii balad' type of song, if that makes any sense.

5. I'm Lucky Girl [strong vocalist: Ai & Eri]
- Hmm.  Not bad.  The song has a strange beat to it.  Not sure how much I like it yet, since it kinda sounds like the lyrics are repeating over and over again.  Don't know what to say for this song yet other then Aichan and Eri sounded good in it.

6. Sungoi My Birthday [strong vocalist: Aika, Junjun, & Linlin]
- Basically an 8th generation song, but everyone else joins in eventually.  Its a very happy sounding song, with plenty of 'jurururus.'  Its very bubbly and sounds like a song to sing to cheer someone up.  I can't help but think happy thoughts when listening to this song.  I think that's just the effect that 8th Gen has on me!  Aika <3

7. Ichi Kara Juu Made Aishite Hoshi [strong vocalist: Everybody]
- Another one of those "you can do it!" songs.  Not that that's a bad thing of course!  I like it.  It has a lot of old school "yay's" and "woo hoo's" in it that is so legit Morning Musume.  It kinda reminds me of a song to sing on a bus.  I don't know why.  I like it so far.  It could also be the ending theme to an anime in my opinion.

8. Itoshiku Kurushii Kono Yoru ni [strong vocalist: Eri]
- Glad to see that Eri is featured on this album somewhat.  Almost surprising that they gave Reina a solo, and not Eri.  Funny how Tsunku works sometimes.  I don't know how to categorize this song yet.  It's in the middle of being a ballad and an upbeat song.  To me, it sounds like it could be the closer to a concert.

9. Denwa De Ne [strong vocalist: Ai]
- A very slow ballad song that is mainly Aichan.  Its nice, but nothing that you can get up and dance too.  It's like something you try to fall asleep to.  That's not a bad thing!  I hear someone else in the song too, but call me crazy, I can't figure out who it is!  Doesn't sound like a recognizable voice to me.  Either way, the song is mostly Aichan softly singing in your ears.

And there you have it folks.  If you read all this, then thank you.  I don't even think I've read all of this to be honest.  So to sum everything up, Fantasy ga Hajimaru is so far my favorite song on the album, followed by Sungoi my Birthday.  The album could have been better, but I guess Tsunku wanted to throw out as much stuff for us to buy before the new year as possible!
